About Sandy Gregory
Sandy Gregory was first elected as the Cass County, Missouri Recorder of Deeds in November 1999, and has served as Recorder of Deeds for the past 11 years. Prior to her election, Sandy served as the Deptuty Recorder of Deeds for 8 years. As a former real estate agent, Executive Secretary to a real estate broker and Deputy Recorder in the Cass County Recorders office, Sandy has more than 29 years of working real estate experience.
Sandy is committed to her profession and serves on many professional organizations. She is a member of the Recorder Association of Missouri, serving as the West Central chairperson for 2 years, has been a member of the International Association of Clerks, Recorders, Election Officials and Treasurers for the past 10 years. She is a member of the Property Records Industry Association, the Cass County Coalition of Chambers, the National Notary Association and the Missouri Real Estate Board.
Sandy is endorsed by AFL-CIO, Greater Kansas City Building and Trades, Taxpayers Unlimited (consisting of Firefighters and EMT's), the Cass County Central Democratic Committee, and several other organizations. This year, Sandy was honored as Democrat Elected Official of the Year in recognition of her many years of dedicated service to the Democratic Party.
Sandy and her husband Jim were married for 44 years. Jim was a retired member of Local 101 Hoisting and Portable Engineers and served the City of Belton as Street Superintendent. As a parent and grandparent, Sandy knows the value of community involvement. Sandy and Jim have been active in various community and civic organizations including Belton Cares, Belton Community Projects, the Lions Club, the Kiwanis, the Chamber of Commerce, and the Masonic Lodge. Sandy has four sons, 3 daughters and an unlimited supply of grandchildren and puppies.
